Carlson Tool & Manufacturing Corp. is looking for an experienced Tool Maker with a desire to lead and mentor others to join our talented team of 70+ skilled Machinists and Toolmakers in our climate-controlled, advanced manufacturing facilities located in Cedarburg, WI.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll play a key role in the design, build, refurbishment, and reverse engineering of plastic injection molds that serve industries like Automotive, Medical, Plastic Packaging, Battery, and beyond. As a Lead Tool Maker, you’ll guide projects through the shop without the need to write plans or purchase material. You will focus on toolmaking while providing hands-on direction to fellow Tool Makers and mentoring apprentices — all in collaboration with a supportive and experienced team.
- Weekly Pay: Starting at $32-$40/hr, depending on experience

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- 10-15+ years of experience as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker is required
- Proven expertise in Plastic Injection Molds is required
- The ability to train and mentor others is required
- The ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering designs and CAD models
- Collaborate with project leader(s) and direct our team of Tool Makers
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training to apprentices and team members
- Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools, and fit/assemble components to fabricate and repair metalworking dies
- Lead plastic injection mold builds from start to finish
- Operate forklifts (we’ll train and certify you)
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
